Personality:

Kanaya is not like most trolls in everyday aspects. She's different. Troll blood color shows what social class they are in, and she has Jade green blood, something that has never been documented before. But that's just the beginning of her differences. Most trolls cannot stand the sunlight, but she enjoys being in it and outside. This stems her love for landscaping and gardening. She is particularly good at shaping the trees with her chainsaw. She also has an eye for fashion and color, unlike most trolls who stay in black. Kanaya enjoys sewing and making clothes for herself and others. She has a wardrobifier that changes her outfit sporadically for a fresh new look. All of her differences has made her a bit shy so she turned to literature for comfort, she is especially a fan of rainbow drinker (vampire) literature and curiously tastes her lusus' (guardian) blood. It was gross in case you're wondering.

Chances are that when you first talk with Kanaya, your first thought will be something along the lines of, damn she has a large vocabulary. She is very intelligent and is not afraid to show it, she speaks her mind and enjoys conversing with other intelligent people. She chooses her words carefully so she can get her point across, and sometimes that makes her a bit verbose. It seems as if she is more book smart than she is "street smart," sarcasm at first goes over her head, and now when she uses it, she tends to point it out afterward. She uses sarcasm as a way to form a bond with the humans but she doesn't really understand the whole concept of saying one thing when you mean another, Kanaya doesn't lie.

On the spectrum between good and evil, Kanaya would fall in the neutral zone. She's not really good, nor is she really bad. Often times the other trolls will go to her and ask her to Auspistice for them, which, in the simplest terms possible, means to get between them and make sure they don't try to kill each other. Eridan calls Kanaya "the vvillage twwo wwheel devvice wwhen it comes to auspisticing." Sometimes people think that she is meddling rather than helping, but she really is just trying to help people.On the other hand, Kanaya won't always help. If you treat her like shit then she will refuse to help. Even though this is a type of three-way relationship, Kanaya isn't the one to go to for relationship advice (her name does mean Virgin Mary). If she had relationship problems she would ask Karkat instead.

At the moment, the person she is least likely to help out is Vriska because she broke her heart. Instead she holds a grudge against her and perhaps Tavros as well since she witnessed them kissing. While Kanaya is the neutral figure and more mellow than the others, that doesn't mean that she can't be violent. The fact she's made it this far in troll society is proof enough of that. They don't really bat an eye about killing or maiming. When Tavros was being fitting with his new legs, she didn't bat an eyelash over using her chainsaw to chop off his legs. But then again, she knew that she was helping him in the long run/ She isn't often violent. It happens in short bursts, like when she witnessed the kiss and threw the dress she made for Vriska, along with the mannequin it was on, out the window. Or when she went on a killing spree with her chainsaw.
